The corridors at Pukeora Estate in Waipukurau are currently barren and cold, but it won’t be like that when CHB The Festival opens its doors on September 3 rd to yet another four days of a great time out in Central Hawkes Bay.

The heating will have everyone feeling toasty, the cafes will be jumping, the coffee carts pumping, wine bottles popping, over 120 stall-holders eagerly jumping up and down tempting you with their wares, fabulous art begging to be taken home, people everywhere, what an atmosphere!

This is the 13 th annual festival that just morphs and grows each year, always a little bit different, always inviting, always offering the crowds of visitors a jolly good time. Plan your day at the Festival with friends and family, meet up for morning coffee, stay for a delicious lunch and glass of wine, appreciate the variety of cuisine from Greek Souvlaki to Stoked Pizza or NZ Crepes - maybe even another coffee later on.

The Centralines Art Extravaganza is noted in the region for the quality of art-works on display, featuring paintings by well known Hawkes Bay artists, an opportunity to browse quietly, feel a bit high-brow, or quickly make a choice on which art-work is yours. Take your time to watch resident artist Chloe King, who will be painting the quirky people she is known for, Mandy Olson, who will be working in clay to create equally quirky Windy Women, and Nick Rumble, our regular author who will impress with his affordable books that will put a smile on any child’s face.

Then it’s time to power around the stalls, all 120 of them including the wineries. Shop ‘till you drop and be tempted by everything from Oriental Rugs, woollen dog beds, Belgian chocolate truffles, designer fashion including jewellery, copperware, garden statuary, plants and tropical palms, a special emphasis on wooden artwork, from Shabby Chic furniture, to platters and just so much more, your plastic is going to take a beating. Eftpos cash out is also available at the festival.

Come and enjoy 4 days of art and inspiration. Have a great day out at CHB The Festival.
