Waipawa Musical and Dramatic Club newsAt their recent AGM, the president, Helen Walker,congratulated the club on another very successful year. Both Tommy and theChristmas Show were very well attended and many people appreciated theentertainment also provided by the club at various community endeavoursthroughout the year.Waipawa M&D are looking forward to a repeatperformance with this years show, an update of the hit musical, Guys and Dolls.To this end, Terry Coyle (director), Helen Walker (musical director) and CefynGauden (set director) are travelling to Melbourne to appraise the latestinternational version now showing there.The cast features some of Hawke's Bay's favourite singersand some excellent new talent in the many and varied character roles in thisamusing tale of gambling, love and, of course, redemption.Waipawa Musical and Dramatic Club have chosen a storysure to appeal to people of all ages. It will run from July 25 to August 9.
